  • Despite common belief, washing most laundry in warm or hot water is not actually get these items cleaner. In fact, using warm or hot water can damage the fibers in clothing, fade colors and set stains that have not been properly removed. Except for white sheets and towels, use cold water and detergent formulated for this use.
